Possible Trump presidency would not be tragedy for Ukraine - Danilov
Ukraine won't face a tragedy if Donald Trump is elected President of the United States. Ukraine will continue to exist regardless of who the American president is, according to the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov in an interview with Babel.
"There will be no tragedy for Ukraine, regardless of who the president of the United States is. It is demeaning for all of us when we draw the conclusion that depending on who is president in America, whether the state will exist or not. We have already proven to the whole world that we are worthy of having our own state," he said.
According to Danilov, the current situation in the United States is very complicated as there is a change in the political situation.
The Secretary of the NSDC believes that today's events in the United States are related to the fact that Washington, after the Cold War, gained international influence and a monopoly on the situation in the world.
Cases against Trump
91 charges have been brought against Donald Trump in four criminal cases. These include illegal handling of classified documents, attempted election result manipulation, and illegal spending of funds collected for the presidential campaign.
However, Trump continues to participate in the election campaign and plans to run for President of the United States in 2024.
The WSJ reports that the US Supreme Court may reject attempts to exclude Donald Trump from the list of presidential candidates for 2024.
