Amid the regional conflict and a series of arrests of Polish citizens, authorities are warning about the risks of traveling to Belarus. The government advises against any visits and urges those remaining in the country to leave, according to the official website of the Republic of Poland.

Poland’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that if the situation in the region worsens, evacuation from Belarus could become extremely difficult or even impossible due to potential restrictions at border crossings.

Citizens who remain in the country are advised to use all available means to leave, both commercial and private.

Current border crossings

At present, passenger travel to Poland is possible only through the Terespol–Brest crossing. For freight transport, the Koroszczyn (Kukuriki)–Kozłowicze point is open.

Registration and information security

People in Belarus are advised to register in the Odyseusz system and regularly monitor updates from Polish diplomatic missions on social media and official channels.

Poland is preparing a bill that would give its military the right to strike Russian drones over Ukrainian territory without waiting for permission from NATO or the EU. Changes to legislation on overseas military deployments are planned so that Polish forces can independently make decisions regarding the neutralization of Russian targets, including drones.

Additionally, Polish and Ukrainian railways are strengthening cooperation by signing a framework agreement to ensure safe and uninterrupted train movement across the border and support joint cross-border projects.
