Polish farmers intend to join blockade at border crossing with Ukraine
Polish farmers are planning to join the blockade of the Dorohusk checkpoint on the border with Ukraine, the entrances to which will be closed by Polish carriers today, according to the leader of the protesting carriers Rafal Mekler.
Meckler says that starting December 18, farmers from the United Village organization will join the blockade. The blockade is scheduled to begin at 12:30 Kyiv time.
According to him, the farmers will join the blockade "because of the tragic situation on the Polish market caused by the uncontrolled supply of grain from Ukraine, the lack of prospects for improving the situation in the 2023 harvest, and the lack of systemic solutions aimed at protecting the domestic market."

Polish farmers demand a ban on sugar imports from Ukraine, immediate payment of direct subsidies, and compensation to corn producers.
Blockade of the Yagodyn-Dorogusk border crossing
As a reminder, Polish carriers announced a new protest on December 18 at the Dorohusk-Yagotyn border with Ukraine.
On November 6, Polish carriers began blockading the border with Ukraine at three checkpoints. They planned to continue it until January.
However, on December 11, the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine announced that the Yahodyn-Dorohusk checkpoint had been unblocked.
