Climatic feature
The polar explorers showed 15 hours of life around the Vernadskyi in half a minute.
The fascinating video was filmed by the meteorologist of the 28th UAE Oleksandr Poluden from Grotto Island, which is located opposite our Galindez - they are separated by about 200 meters of the Mick Strait.
The shooting lasted from five in the evening to eight in the morning in late January. During this period, it is summer in the Antarctic and there is a long daylight hours.
"Therefore, the night time in the video can be tracked mostly by the lights on at the station," the statement says.
The video also shows an interesting climatic feature - most of the time it is cloudy and the weather changes very rapidly.
"Oleksandr's phone and tripod were very lucky because not a single bird laid eyes on them for 15 hours," the polar explorers add.
