The Polish government is advising its citizens to leave Russian territory, citing the risk of potential military mobilization, according to the press service of Poland’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Ministry recalled that Russia has closed Poland’s consulates in St. Petersburg and Kaliningrad. Against this backdrop, providing direct consular assistance to Polish citizens is becoming increasingly difficult.

"In the event of a sudden deterioration in the security situation, border closures, or other unforeseen circumstances, evacuation may become significantly more complicated or even impossible," the ministry warned.

Officials also noted the lack of direct air travel between Poland and Russia, limited travel options, the unavailability of Polish banking services, and the risk of arbitrary detentions and inspections by Russian security services.

"Polish citizens who also possess Russian nationality are considered, under Russian law, solely as citizens of the Russian Federation. Under current conditions, a declaration of mobilization by Russian authorities could also affect dual nationals,” the statement added.

Additionally, in Russia, individuals may face criminal prosecution for photographing certain sites, such as police stations, airports, military facilities, and other government buildings.
