The Ambassador of Ukraine to Poland, Vasyl Zvarych, was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The reason behind the summoning was the statements made by Ukrainian officials, according to the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Twitter.

"The Ambassador of Ukraine to Poland has been invited to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in connection with statements made by representatives of the Ukrainian authorities," the department's statement said.

Background

Earlier, the Minister of the President's Chancellery of Poland, Marcin Przydacz, stated that Ukraine should start appreciating the role Warsaw played for Kyiv.

Following this, the Polish Ambassador to Ukraine, Bartosz Cichocki, was invited to the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He was informed that statements about the alleged ingratitude of Ukraine are unacceptable and do not correspond to reality.

At the same time, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Oleh Nikolenko, emphasized that these statements will not hinder Poland and Ukraine from building a common European future.
