Poland scrambles fighter jets due to Russia's missile attack on Ukraine

Poland has scrambled fighter jets and put its air defense systems on alert amid Russia's missile attack on Ukraine, according to the Twitter account of the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces.
It was reported that due to the intense activity of Russian aviation, a joint operation of Polish and allied aviation was launched in Polish airspace:
- Fighter jets have been deployed.
- Ground-based air defense systems and radar reconnaissance have been put on high alert.
"The measures are aimed at ensuring security in areas bordering with the threat zones," stated the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces.
Missile strike on Ukraine by Russia
Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Russia has regularly targeted Ukraine's infrastructure, including civilian structures, creating a serious threat to ordinary citizens. During these attacks, the enemy uses missiles, guided aviation bombs, artillery, and drones.
That night, as in previous days, the enemy carried out a nighttime drone launch. At 1 a.m. Kyiv time, the Ukrainian Air Force reported the launch of a group of strategic bombers Tu-95MS, and later, the launch of cruise missiles from the Black Sea.
