Poland is now forming the Ukrainian Legion, with over a thousand applications already submitted. And the next recruitment will be on a larger scale, as Ukraine's Ambassador to Poland, Vasyl Bodnar, said on Ukrainian TV.

"Since the military asked not to disclose numbers, I cannot provide specifics. But it will definitely be many times larger than the first unit," said Bodnar.

The information campaign on the legion's activities in various countries is currently expanding. There is also a fight against Russian fakes, providing details on how this unit functions.

"We are explaining how useful and necessary this initiative is for the mobilization of the entire Ukrainian nation, not just those living in Europe," added Bodnar.

Earlier, the Polish authorities agreed to form the Ukrainian Legion from Ukrainians living in European countries. This initiative will allow Ukrainians temporarily or permanently residing outside Ukraine to join military training and preparation.

In October, recruitment for the Ukrainian Legion began in the Polish city of Lublin. The recruitment point operates daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Yesterday, it was reported that volunteers who joined the Ukrainian Legion in Poland began arriving in Ukraine, where they will continue their training.
