The Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces reported that on the night of September 10, Poland’s airspace was repeatedly violated by drone-type objects, according to a post from the Operational Command.

The statement said that an ongoing operation is underway to identify and neutralize the objects.

"By order of the Operational Commander of the Polish Armed Forces, weapons have been deployed, and services are actively working to determine the locations of the downed objects. We emphasize that the military operation is still ongoing, and we urge people to stay indoors. The most threatened areas are the Podlaskie, Masovian, and Lublin voivodeships," the statement reads.

The Defense Ministry assured that it is monitoring the current situation, and the forces and assets under its command remain fully prepared for immediate response.

Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that on the night of Wednesday, September 10, Russian Shahed drones crossed the Ukrainian border and entered Polish airspace.

In response, Poland scrambled F-16 fighter jets and a SAAB 340 airborne early warning aircraft.

The airports in Rzeszów and Lublin were closed due to unplanned military activity related to ensuring national security.
