The Polish Air Force and the air forces of NATO ally countries scrambled aircraft in response to a large-scale combined air attack by Russia on Ukraine, according to the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces on the social media platform X.

It is noted that on the night of October 4–5, 2025, Russia once again struck targets located on the territory of Ukraine.

To ensure the security of Polish airspace, the Operational Command of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland implemented all necessary procedures.

“Polish and allied aircraft are actively operating in the airspace, while ground-based air defense and radar surveillance systems have been placed on the highest state of combat readiness,” the statement reads.

The command noted that these actions are preventive in nature and aimed at ensuring the security of airspace and protecting citizens, especially in areas bordering potential threat zones.

The Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces continues to monitor the ongoing situation, and subordinate forces and assets remain fully prepared for immediate response.
