Poland deployed military aircraft this morning, February 25, in response to Russian missile strikes on Ukraine, according to the Polish Armed Forces Operational Command.

"Attention, due to the activity of Russia's long-range aviation, which is targeting facilities, including those in western Ukraine, military aviation has been deployed in Poland's airspace," stated the Polish Ministry of Defense.

The Polish Armed Forces Operational Command also informed that "all available forces and means" were mobilized, and "ground-based air defense and radar reconnaissance systems have been put on alert."

Additionally, "measures were taken to ensure safety in areas adjacent to the threatened territories."

"The Armed Forces Operational Command is monitoring the situation, and the forces under its command are in full readiness for immediate response," the Polish Ministry of Defense publication concluded.

Russian drone-missile strike on Ukraine

Early in the morning on February 25, launches of cruise missiles from Russian strategic bombers were recorded from the Engels area towards Ukraine. Later, the Ukrainian Air Force reported that Russia`s missiles entered Ukraine's airspace, and hostile aerial targets were maneuvering.

On the evening of February 24, Russian occupiers launched strike drones from different directions towards Ukraine. Shahed drones are still being detected over several regions.

Due to the Russian combined attack, a large-scale air raid alert has been declared in Ukraine.
