Poland braces for war with Russia, warns of possible Kremlin provocation

Poland is already preparing for a full-scale war with Russia. Moreover, Warsaw has information indicating that a new major provocation by Moscow could take place soon, Polish Deputy Defense Minister Cezary Tomczyk warned.
As the official explained, the Polish authorities and military are already working out how they would respond in the worst-case scenario — namely, a war with Russia.
Despite active preparations for such a possibility, Warsaw hopes it will never happen.
"We are preparing for war, hoping that it will never begin," Tomczyk said.
However, what could actually happen in the coming months is a new major provocation by Russia. He did not specify what exactly this could involve.
According to Tomczyk, Polish authorities no longer divide scenarios into realistic and unrealistic ones, but rather into likely and unlikely.
"Today, I would no longer set a deadline. A major provocation by the Kremlin could very well happen within the next few months," he warned.
In Tomczyk's view, the key factor remains unchanged — developments in the Russia-Ukraine war.
He suggested that Russia is not currently ready for a war with NATO, but that does not mean such a war will never happen.
"Especially since we see that Ukraine has held Russia back — not to mention the entire potential of the Alliance. We must be aware of our strength," Tomczyk urged the allies.
Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk made an ambitious statement about his country's military.
We also reported that Poland criticized a former minister's statement regarding missiles for Ukraine.
In addition, it became known what additional assistance Warsaw could provide to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
