Pentagon confirmed attempted shelling of American military base in Syria
The Pentagon has confirmed that militants attempted to attack an American military base in Syria with armed drones, states Pentagon representative General Patrick Ryder.
"I can confirm that there was an attempted drone attack at Al-Tanf in Syria. Two one-way attack drones taken down; no injuries to U.S. forces," stated Ryder.
This attack occurred during the daytime on October 23, according to Kyiv time.
Shortly after the incident, the Islamic Movement of Iraq, an Iran-backed militant group, claimed attacks on two other American bases in Syria, but there is no official confirmation of this information. American and European media sources have not reported on these purported attacks. Additionally, Russian propaganda sources allege that U.S. President Joe Biden supposedly had to suddenly interrupt his speech due to these new attacks. However, a video of his speech shows that he concluded his address on the country's economic development in a routine manner. Reuters journalist Steve Holland clarified that Biden went to a situation room for a regular briefing on the latest information from Israel and Gaza, which is a regular occurrence.

Strike on U.S. bases in the Middle East
Recall that on October 20, it was reported that U.S. military bases in the Middle East had come under aerial attacks. Initially, an American base in Syria was targeted, and on the same day, drone attack attempts took place in Iraq.
Furthermore, the following day, two U.S. military bases in Syria and an airbase in Iraq were under attack.
Following these incidents, the U.S. deployed additional air defense forces throughout the Middle East.
