Ukrainian partisans successfully carried out reconnaissance at the Russian airfield Danilovo, located near Yoshkar-Ola in the Mari El Republic. Russia's Federal Security Service currently uses it, the Ukrainian partisan movement ATESH reports.

According to the partisans, Russia's Security Service aviation group currently uses the airfield, although it was previously a base for the 681st Fighter Aviation Regiment of the Air Defense Forces.

During the reconnaissance, it was established that the Russian airfield houses:

  • Multirole helicopters Mi-8 and Ka-226.
  • Military transport aircraft An-72, An-26, and Il-76.

Reports indicate that this equipment is used to transport cargo and military personnel.

Despite heightened security measures and the high level of confidentiality at the facility, agents from the ATESH movement successfully completed their mission and left undetected.

Representatives of the organization stated that due to a shortage of qualified personnel, Russian security services are increasingly losing control even over high-priority sites.

Recently, members of the ATESH movement conducted reconnaissance near the settlement of Chornomorske in the temporarily occupied Crimea. There, the partisans discovered new defensive structures and depots containing the occupiers' weapons and equipment, passing information about their "findings" to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Also, the partisans in the temporarily occupied Crimea had previously discovered another fuel depot of the Russian army.
