Ukrainian strikes on Russian military targets
Recall that Ukrainian defenders recently damaged a Russian A-50 airborne early warning and control aircraft during an attack on an aircraft repair plant in Novgorod region.
Yesterday, March 20, Commander of Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces Robert "Madyar" Brovdi reported that a Russian Ka-52 attack helicopter worth at least $16 million was hit near the settlement of Nadiivka in Donetsk region.
A key feature of the operation was the use of a fiber-optic FPV drone, which enabled an effective strike on an aerial target and the elimination of its crew during an attempted evacuation.
Also on the night of March 20, Ukrainian forces attacked facilities of the Alchevsk Metallurgical Plant in the temporarily occupied part of Luhansk region.
The plant is involved in the production of artillery shells, including casting and initial processing of large-caliber blanks. It also takes part in the production and repair of armored steel for military equipment used by occupying forces.
In addition, Ukrainian forces struck infrastructure at the Skhidnyi training ground (Novopetrivka, temporarily occupied part of Zaporizhzhia region).
