Overnight Russian attack on Ukraine: Air defense neutralizes dozens of missiles and drones

Overnight on September 12, Russian forces launched another massive aerial attack on Ukraine. Air defense managed to shoot down or suppress most of the enemy targets, including missiles, but hits were also recorded, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.
The attack began at 6:00 p.m. on September 11.
During the attack, Russian forces used:
- Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles launched from Russia's Voronezh and Rostov regions, as well as from temporarily occupied Crimea;
- 8 sea-launched Kalibr cruise missiles from the Black Sea;
- 6 Kh-59/69 guided air-launched missiles;
- 129 Shahed and S8000 Banderol drone attack UAVs, as well as Parodiya decoy drones.
The drones were launched from areas near Kursk, Oryol, temporarily occupied Donetsk region and Hvardiiske in Crimea.
The Odesa region was the main target of the attack.
The enemy's aerial assault was repelled with the involvement of aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, as well as mobile fire groups of Ukraine's Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 8:30 a.m., Ukrainian air defense had destroyed or suppressed 110 aerial targets:
- 6 Kalibr missiles;
- 2 Kh-59/69 guided air-launched missiles;
- 1 S8000 Bandero drone;
- 101 Shahed, Gerbera and other types of attack drones.
At the same time, Russian missile and attack UAV strikes were recorded at 20 locations. Debris from downed targets fell at four other locations.
The aerial attack is ongoing. Russian drones are still in the sky.

Earlier, it was reported that Canada is providing hundreds of millions of dollars for interceptor missiles for Ukraine.
