'Order not to take prisoners and to shoot': Russian POW confesses to war crimes in Sumy region (video)

Ukrainian servicemen have released a video of the interrogation of another Russian soldier who was taken prisoner on the territory of the Sumy region, the Airborne Assault Forces of Ukraine reports.
The captured Russian is 30 years old, his name is Ilia Taltaev, and he is from the Kemerovo region. Before the war, he worked at the Irkutsk Aviation Plant. While serving in the Russian army, Taltaev was a private in the 2nd Assault Company, 106th Airborne Division, 51st Regiment.
According to the Russian POW, the decision to join the ranks of the enemy army was for "ideological reasons." The Russian was captured in the Sumy region.
"On the first day, I was wounded in a shooting, then I sat in a dugout on the radio. There were 4 people in our group, but one was killed almost immediately…There were many wounded and killed. There were heavy losses due to mortars and FPV drones," the prisoner said.
The enemy soldier said that while being at the front, there was a severe shortage of water, and there were also problems with food.
"This time almost the entire company was killed. I know that one wounded man was taken prisoner, he said that no one else got out of there," Taltaev stated.
Already in captivity, he was provided medical assistance by Ukrainian servicemen.
"On TV they always say that Ukrainians abuse prisoners. But they treat me well…And from my command, there was an order not to take prisoners and to shoot," the captured Russian said.
