Opposition protests in Serbia continue for 9 days
In the Serbian capital, Belgrade, on December 26, people gathered for another protest, according to Radio Slobodna Europa .
The opposition coalition Serbia Against Violence has been staging protests for nine days against the results of the parliamentary and local elections held on December 17.
"We do not recognize the theft, and the electoral will of the citizens will be protected," said Vladimir Obradovic, a candidate from the Serbia Against Violence coalition for the position of mayor of Belgrade, during the protest on December 26.
One of the leaders of Serbia's main opposition party, Marinika Tepic, pledged to continue her hunger strike in protest against election fraud.
Election falsification in Serbia
On December 17, extraordinary parliamentary and local elections took place in Serbia. Vucic announced the victory of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party.
After the announcement of the election results, hundreds of people took to the streets in protest. The opposition considers the elections to be falsified and called for the annulment of the voting results.
