Ohmatdyt receives support from the Andrii Matiukha Foundation: new surgical equipment already in use

The Ohmatdyt Children's Hospital has once again received support from the Andrii Matiukha Foundation and the charity organization Good Donations. This time, two new instruments for emergency surgery were delivered: Ligasure Mariland and Ligasure Exact. These tools allow doctors to perform complex surgeries faster and with greater precision. They are used in both open and laparoscopic procedures.
Each year, Ohmatdyt carries out around 800 surgeries. Head of the emergency surgery department, Roman Zhezhera, noted that the new instruments are already being used. Doctors plan to perform at least 70 operations with the new tools.

This isn’t the first time the hospital has received support from the Andrii Matiukha Foundation. Back in February, the Foundation provided Ohmatdyt with a Thompson retractor system for open surgical procedures. The system cost over 2 million UAH and has already been used in more than a hundred surgeries, with doctors expressing full satisfaction.“We want doctors to have access to the best technology. That’s why, together with Good Donations, we act quickly and aim for real results,” — said Andrii Matiukha.
