Russian forces accumulating near Krynky, Kherson region: Military report
Accumulation of Russian forces near the Ukrainian military strongholds on the left bank of the Dnipro River in the Kherson region is not currently observed. Although the occupiers are constantly reinforcing with new reserves, depending on losses during the assaults, which are quite significant and regular, according to the head of the Unified Coordination Press Center of the Armed Forces of Southern Ukraine, Natalia Humeniuk.
"We see them maneuvering their resources. What hides behind the accumulation of personnel? The Dnipro group of Russian forces located there is quite numerous, it has both manpower and equipment, but it is dispersed," she said.
According to the spokesperson, the enemy understands that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are identifying positions of its concentration and will work on them.
"Of course, they are dispersed, located in several layers relative to the line of contact as deeply as possible. And based on direct losses on the front line, they periodically reinforce from the depth of the temporarily occupied mainland resources," she says.
As Humeniuk added, in the area of the Ukrainian military stronghold on the left bank of the Dnipro, the occupiers conducted six assaults in one day, which were not successful.
Situation with Russian reserves in occupied Crimea
As for the preparation of Russian reserves in Crimea, according to Humeniuk, this is a long-term perspective.
"They are currently dealing with what they have nearby. And these rotations of units are more related to assaults when there are significant losses, which are daily, they bring in the next assault airborne assault and special units. Now they are focused on bringing in the next batch of specialists for assaults because there are no successes," she noted.
Situation in the Krynky area of the Kherson region
Recently, Humeniuk reported that Russian occupiers were trying to change tactics in the Krynky area, located on the temporarily occupied left bank of the Dnipro River in the Kherson region, trying to push out the Ukrainian Armed Forces from occupied strongholds. But these attempts turned out to be unsuccessful, despite the so-called "cockroach method."
And at the end of March 2024, the occupiers completely stopped assaults in the Krynky area and did not conduct them for a whole day.
Recall, the village of Krynky in the Kherson region is located on the left bank of the Dnipro River, on the territory temporarily occupied by Russian forces, which they captured during the large-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine in February 2022.
In February 2024, it became known that the Ukrainian Armed Forces raised the flag of Ukraine in Krynky on the left bank of the Kherson region. At the end of February, it was reported that the Russians are not giving up attempts to push the Ukrainian military from the left bank of the Dnipro in the Kherson region. For this, the Russians go to assaults with small arms.
