Number of people injured in Russian strikes rises sharply in Odesa and Kharkiv

Russian forces attacked Odesa and Kharkiv on the night of August 9. The number of people injured in both cities continues to rise, according to Odesa Regional State Administration Head Oleh Kiper and Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov.

According to Kiper, the number of people injured in Russia's overnight attack on the Odesa region has risen to 12.
Eleven injured people were hospitalized in moderate condition. Another victim received medical treatment on an outpatient basis.
Kiper urged residents not to ignore air raid alerts and to remain in shelters until the official all-clear.
At the same time, Russian forces did not stop their attempts to attack Odesa after the overnight strike. At 12:55 p.m., the city and region came under enemy fire again. According to the regional administration head, air defenses were active at the time.
What is known about Kharkiv
In Kharkiv, the number of people injured in the morning Russian strike has risen to 37.
According to Terekhov, one death has also been confirmed.
Meanwhile, the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office said reports of a second fatality had not been confirmed.
"It was clarified that in both cases, the reports referred to the same person - a man who was killed," the statement said.
Thus, according to the latest information, at least 49 people were injured in the Russian attacks on Odesa and Kharkiv, and one person was killed.
As a reminder, on the night of August 9, Russian forces launched a massive attack on Ukraine, using missiles and more than 200 attack drones.
Odesa region was hit hardest, while explosions and damage were also reported in Kharkiv, Pavlohrad and other regions.
