Russian occupants launched rocket attacks on Zaporizhzhia. As a result of the attack, the death toll has risen to three, according to a statement by Ivan Fedorov, the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration.

"Over the past 2 hours, the enemy has launched five missile strikes on Zaporizhzhia. Most of the targets are civilian infrastructure. Currently, we have reports of at least three multi-story buildings and ten private houses being damaged. Unfortunately, there are casualties. According to the latest information, three people died. Thirteen people have been transported to our hospital, four of them are in critical condition," Fedorov stated.

According to Fedorov, the attack also damaged industrial infrastructure. Rescue teams had only recently gained access to the sites as they were waiting for the air raid to end.

Fedorov specified that initially there were two missile strikes, followed by new missiles hitting the same area 40 minutes later, just as rescuers and police officers began to work. Two journalists were injured.

Fedorov added that it is currently impossible to accurately assess the extent of the destruction.

In Zaporizhzhia, Ukrinform correspondent Olga Zvonariova was injured during a shelling.

According to Ukrinform, she was wounded in the leg and is undergoing surgery.

The Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration reported that 19 people have already been injured as a result of Russian strikes on Zaporizhzhia.
