Not just shells: Missiles and guided bombs stored at attacked depots in Bryansk region
The warehouses in the Bryansk region of Russia that were attacked by the Ukrainian military had not only shells. Missiles and guided bombs were also stored there, according to Andriy Kovalenko, head of Ukraine's Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council.
“Bryansk region, a warehouse with artillery ammunition, MLRS missiles, and GABs was hit,” he said.
Air defense was operating in the Russian city of Bryansk overnight. The governor of the region said that it allegedly shot down 15 drones.
Footage of the fire was posted online. The governor of the Bryansk region claimed that the falling debris had set non-residential buildings on fire. Analysts said that a military unit was attacked in Bryansk.
Later, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces confirmed that the Ukrainian military had attacked ammunition depots. These were the warehouses of the 1060th Logistics Center (formerly the 120th arsenal of the main missile and artillery directorate) in the Bryansk region.
A fire broke out at the affected facility, accompanied by a detonation. As of the morning, the fire had not been extinguished.
