Not just iPhone 16: Highlights from Apple’s presentation, details about new products
The new iPhone 16, innovative AirPods 4, and iOS 18 release date are just some of the things that were presented at Apple's presentation on September 9, according to the official YouTube channel of Apple.
Apple Watch Series 10
Apple unveiled the Apple Watch Series 10, the natural successor to last year's Series 9, on September 9. It features the largest and thinnest display ever created for an Apple Watch, with a wide OLED screen that is even slightly larger than that of the Apple Watch Ultra.
The case has more rounded corners and a wider format, which, combined with the large screen, is designed to offer more space for interacting with graphics and text on the watch. Apple claims the screen is 40 percent brighter when viewed at an angle and will display the second hand even when the wrist is lowered.
The Apple Watch Series 10 operates on a new S10 SiP, which Apple says is designed for performance, energy efficiency, and intelligence (Apple Intelligence). One example of Apple Intelligence on the Series 10 is the new Photos watch face, which will select the best photos from your library and display them automatically.
In terms of fitness features, Apple announced that the latest version of watchOS will enable the Series 10 to detect signs of sleep apnea, provided the watch is worn regularly during sleep.
Apple anticipates FDA approval and forecasts that the sleep apnea detection feature will be launched in more than 150 countries. Additionally, the Series 10 will include diving tracking features and support for a new Tides app in watchOS 11.
Another new feature is the ability to play audio directly from the Watch’s speaker, which could be useful if AirPods or other Bluetooth headphones are not available. The Apple Watch Series 10 will be available in a new polished black jet aluminum finish and a polished titanium finish in silver, gold, and slate gray, and it will be widely available on September 20.

While there were many rumors about the next iteration of the Apple Watch Ultra, the company did not introduce a third-generation sports watch today. Instead, Apple revealed a new color option for the Apple Watch Ultra 2: Atlas Black. There are also new Hermes finishes and a new Milanese strap to complement the Atlas Black finish.

AirPods 4
The AirPods 4 were introduced during the iPhone 16 event as expected. These new earbuds feature a redesigned shape that is intended to fit a wider range of ear shapes and provide overall greater comfort.
Inside, they are equipped with the H2 chip, which promises improved sound quality and features such as personalized spatial audio. The charging case now has a USB-C port and is the smallest charging case for AirPods to date.
In addition to the standard AirPods 4, there will be a second model with active noise cancellation and transparency mode.
Conversation Awareness will also automatically lower the volume of your media when the earbuds detect that you are starting a conversation. The standard AirPods 4 are priced at $129, while the AirPods 4 with ANC are priced at $179; both are available for pre-order today and will be widely available on September 20.

AirPods Pro has new features for hearing
Apple announced new features for the AirPods Pro 2 aimed at preventing and increasing awareness of hearing loss.
A feature called "Hearing Protection" will be enabled by default, allowing users to undergo a clinically validated hearing test to determine if they have any hearing loss.
Additionally, the AirPods Pro will include a built-in hearing aid function and work with a hearing profile created after the user takes a hearing test.
As a reminder, Apple is postponing the release of a foldable MacBook.
