Global fame doesn't always come overnight. Before walking red carpets and building audiences of millions, these celebrities worked as waiters and waitresses, earning their first paychecks.
RBC-Ukraine has rounded up the stories of world-famous stars who worked in cafés and restaurants before finding success and becoming household names.
Nicki Minaj
Before launching her music career, the rapper worked at the seafood restaurant Red Lobster. She didn't stay there for long, however, as she was fired for not paying enough attention to detail.
The artist later joked that while she gets along well with people, waiting tables definitely wasn't the right job for her.

The Academy Award-winning actress has said more than once that she still looks back fondly on the years she spent working as a waitress. According to Moore, the job taught her discipline and responsibility.
