The Norwegian government has decided to donate a military assistance package to Ukraine. It includes the NASAMS (Norwegian Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile System) air defense system, according to the country's Ministry of Defense.

"Norway donates a NASAMS support package, containing two additional fire control centers, two launcher units, and spare parts. This will ensure endurance, redundancy and flexibility to already donated air defense to Ukraine," tweeted the ministry.

Previously, Norway, along with the United States, transferred two fully equipped NASAMS systems to Ukraine.

"Air defense is a top priority for Ukraine. Ukraine needs protection against Russian aviation and missile strikes," added the ministry.

Assistance from Norway

Today it was announced that Norway will provide Ukraine with an additional one thousand Black Hornet Nano drones for reconnaissance purposes.

Yesterday, Norway said it will increase its military assistance to Ukraine from NOK 2.5 billion ($240 million) this year to NOK 10 billion.
