Famous British TV chef Jamie Oliver, who recently celebrated his 50th birthday, has impressed fans with an incredible physical transformation. The TV star admitted that he managed to lose a significant amount of weight in a relatively short period of time

The Brit achieved this not through strict restrictions or exhausting fasting. On the contrary, the chef says he actually started eating more than usual, but completely changed the quality of the food on his plate.
The key step toward his ideal physique was a radical change in diet proportions. Jamie Oliver significantly reduced meat consumption, replacing it with generous portions of various vegetables.
In addition, the chef found the perfect substitute for unhealthy snacks — nuts. He emphasizes that they not only help maintain body shape but also halve the risk of heart attacks.
This advice is also supported by doctors from the UK’s National Health Service (NHS). They recommend eating a small handful (about 30 g) of unsalted, unsweetened nuts daily as an excellent source of fiber. However, moderation is important due to their high natural fat content.
Unexpected superfood that boosts weight loss
A real discovery for Oliver, which significantly accelerated his weight loss, was seaweed.
The chef admitted he previously considered it hippie food. However, after seriously studying nutrition and traveling to regions where long-livers live, his opinion changed dramatically.
Seaweed turned out to be one of the most nutrient-dense vegetables in the world. It contains large amounts of iodine and beneficial micronutrients that effectively support metabolism.

Sleep, quitting alcohol, and dealing with pain
The changes were not limited to his diet. Jamie also rethought his entire lifestyle: he started moving more, improved his sleep routine, and introduced a strict rule regarding alcohol.
Now he only allows himself to drink on weekends, following a more mindful approach to his health.
The push for this major transformation came not only from realizing his unhealthy lifestyle but also from serious medical issues.
For the past four years, Oliver suffered from severe back pain caused by three displaced intervertebral discs.
The condition was so serious that at times he could not stand for more than 40 seconds, which is a real disaster for a professional chef. That is why weight loss became a medical necessity that helped restore his health and activity.
