Russian occupiers once again launched combat drones of the Shahed type during an air attack on Ukraine on the night of December 27. The Armed Forces Air Defense managed to destroy more than three dozen enemy UAVs, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"During the night, Russian occupiers once again attacked Ukraine, using 46 UAVs of the Shahed-136/131 type," the morning summary stated.

The military command reported that 32 combat drones were destroyed by Air Defense Forces.

Shahed attack on Ukraine

On the evening of December 26 and the night of December 27, Russian occupying forces conducted air strikes on Ukraine using barrage munitions Shahed. Late Tuesday evening, the enemy targeted Kherson with it and also launched kamikaze drones towards Starokostiantyniv and Odesa.

Explosions were reported in Odesa this night, and the Southern Defense Forces claimed to be engaging enemy targets with air defense systems.

Later in the night, the Air Force command reported the movement of Shahed groups in many regions, mostly in the left-bank part of the country. Residents in these regions were urged to take shelter as an alarm was announced.

On December 26, Russians attacked Ukraine with Shahed combat drones. The occupiers launched 19 Shahed-136/131 drones from the areas of Balaklava (Crimea) to Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia). Ukrainian Air Defense Forces successfully destroyed 13 Shahed drones within the territories of Odesa, Kherson, Mykolaiv, and Khmelnytskyi regions.
