On November 22, the air defense forces shot down Shaheds in the Khmelnytskyi region. A fragment of one of the aircraft fell onto a home, causing a fire to break out, according to the first Deputy Head of the Khmelnytskyi regional military administration Serhii Tyurin.

Air defense forces operated in the Khmelnytskyi region during an air alert. One of the Shahed drones that crashed fell into the yard of a private residence.

"The remains of one of the downed Shaheds fell in the yard of a privately owned property located in the Khmelnytsky district, causing damage to a non-residential structure and igniting a fire. The State Emergency Service and other pertinent authorities are on the scene," stated Serhii Tyurin in his online post.

According to the deputy, there were no casualties resulting from the incident.

"The most important thing is that no one was hurt or killed. I express my gratitude to the Armed Forces of Ukraine for safeguarding the airspace in the Khmelnytskyi region," wrote Tyurin.

Shaheds attack over Khmelnytskyi region

In recent days, Russian soldiers have launched Shahed drones into the territory of the Khmelnytsky region. Residents of Khmelnytskyi district heard explosions on November 21. Later, Tyurin stated that Ukrainian air defense forces were responsible.

Similarly, on November 18, residents of the Khmelnytskyi region reported hearing explosions. According to Tyurin, air defense forces were also involved. Fortunately, there were no casualties or damage.
