Night attack of Shaheds: Ukrainian military shot down all Russian kamikaze drones
Russian occupiers launched kamikaze drones of the Shahed type for strikes against Ukraine tonight; however, all of them were shot down by the air defense forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In the morning report on April 7, the military command specified that the enemy had used a total of 17 combat drones for the aerial attack.
"The Russian occupiers once again attacked Ukraine overnight, employing 17 Shahed-type UAVs for this purpose. All of the attack UAVs were destroyed by the air defense forces of Ukraine," the General Staff statement said.
Later, the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine clarified that on this night, 11 enemy kamikaze drones were destroyed in the sky over Dnipropetrovsk region. Military officials added that the air defense forces' operations in this area of responsibility lasted for almost three hours.
Night attack of Shahed drones on April 7
On the night of April 7, Russian occupiers once again launched strike drones of the Shahed type against Ukraine. Air raid alarms were sounded in several regions.
The movement of enemy kamikaze drones was detected.
As the mayor of the city reported, in Kharkiv, a drone belonging to the enemy hit a private house, causing a fire, which has since been extinguished.
