The Dutch government has announced €1.2 billion in nonmilitary assistance for Ukraine over the next three years. The announcement came ahead of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s visit to The Hague, according to Reuters.

The Dutch government has pledged €380 million to support Ukraine’s recovery next year. Another approximately €410 million is earmarked for 2028 and 2029.

Some of the funding will go toward urgent repairs to damaged energy infrastructure and supplying essential equipment to Ukrainian industry.

The funding will also support Dutch companies seeking to invest in Ukraine’s reconstruction.

Zelenskyy is expected to arrive in the Netherlands on Wednesday, October 28. He is scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Rob Jetten and other cabinet members before visiting King Willem-Alexander.

Earlier, Jetten said the Netherlands would help Ukraine maintain its F-16 fighter jets and supply spare parts and ammunition for the aircraft.

He noted that the support would help strengthen Ukraine’s air defenses amid massive Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities.
