Netherlands allocates €209,5 million to restore Ukraine's infrastructure
The Netherlands has announced a new financial support package amounting to €209.5 million, which will be allocated for the restoration of critical infrastructure in Ukraine, according to Dutch Foreign Minister Caspar Veldkamp.
"The Netherlands has announced a new €209.5 million support package, aimed at restoring critical infrastructure," he said.
According to the minister, the assistance will be provided, in particular, through the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, as well as in the form of humanitarian aid.
Part of the funds, specifically €45 million, will be directed to the Ukrainian Energy Support Fund to finance the supply of necessary equipment to help Kyiv cope with energy challenges amid the ongoing war.
Support for Ukraine from Netherlands
Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Netherlands has actively supported the country. In particular, Amsterdam has been providing Kyiv with weapons and military equipment that assist our defenders in countering Russian aggression.
At the end of June, the Netherlands announced plans to transfer a Patriot air defense system to Ukraine in cooperation with another country. Amsterdam was prepared to provide the main part of the system, while other components were to be supplied by a partner interested in the arrangement.
