Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu published an AI-generated image of a nuclear explosion over Tel Aviv on the social network X, according to The Jerusalem Post.
Journalists note that the post appeared two days before the country's parliamentary elections.
The Israeli leader unexpectedly posted an image of a massive nuclear mushroom cloud over the city on his official account.
Netanyahu stated that Israel faces an existential threat from Iran. He also emphasized that the results of the parliamentary elections, scheduled for Tuesday, will be crucial for the country's security.
"The State of Israel is in existential danger that Iran and its proxies threaten us with. It is astonishing that nothing has changed, and more than that, everything has become more dangerous because of the existential danger posed by Iran and the axis of evil," the head of the Israeli government wrote.

Furthermore, Netanyahu called on citizens to set aside internal disputes and focus on the main task - completing the work in Iran.
Against the backdrop of recent events, representatives of the Israeli opposition criticized the prime minister, accusing him of attempting to intimidate voters ahead of the vote.
Thousands of people took to the streets in Tel Aviv for a rally against Netanyahu.
US President Donald Trump supported Netanyahu ahead of the elections in Israel.
