Netanyahu considers full Gaza occupation amid hostage talks

Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu convenes an expanded cabinet meeting to discuss further actions in the Gaza Strip and the terms of a possible agreement on the release of hostages, according to The Jerusalem Post.
According to a source, Netanyahu is considering "all available options" for further actions, including the full occupation of Gaza. Such a decision, according to the publication, has already been made and provides for military operations even in areas where hostages may be held.
The government meeting is taking place against the backdrop of ongoing negotiations in Doha between representatives of Israel, Hamas, and international mediators aimed at reaching a ceasefire.
At the same time, the Israeli side insists that the future agreement must include the release of all hostages.
Earlier, US special envoy Steve Witkoff arrived in Israel.
After his visit, according to The Jerusalem Post sources, the parties reached a "broad consensus" on the main parameters of the agreement.
In response to reports of a possible occupation of Gaza, Hamas representatives stated that "Israel's threats have no effect" and will not change the group's decisions.
Israel-Hamas negotiations
Recently, Republican Senator Lindsey Graham stated that negotiations with Hamas have no prospects, since "they are religious Nazis whose goal is to destroy Israel."
At the same time, US President Donald Trump stated that, given the failure of the negotiations, Israel will have to make a decision on further steps in the Gaza Strip.
Earlier, the Israeli government called Hamas’ conditions for the release of hostages unacceptable.
