Netanyahu and Israeli military leaders meet with Trump's administration: Details

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and senior Israel Defense Forces (IDF) leaders held a meeting with representatives from US President Donald Trump's administration, including Vice President JD Vance and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Jerusalem Post reports.
According to multiple sources, the meeting took place on the evening of June 19. Participating from Israel were Netanyahu, IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir, Defense Minister Israel Katz, and Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer.
The talks occurred as the US weighs whether to join Israel in strikes against Iran. President Trump announced he would make a decision within two weeks on whether the US would participate in attacks on Iran.
US-Iran negotiations
Last week, Israel launched a series of missile strikes against Iran after Tehran refused to sign a nuclear deal with the US within 60 days. Israel aims to destroy Iran's nuclear program to prevent it from producing nuclear weapons.
On June 19, reports emerged that US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held multiple phone calls discussing a diplomatic resolution to the Israel-Iran conflict.
During the talks, Araghchi warned Witkoff that Tehran would not return to negotiations until Israel halts its attacks, which began on June 13.
