Hezbollah militants fired on Israeli military positions in the Mount Dov area. This incident is a serious violation of the ceasefire, according to The Times of Israel.

Hezbollah's attack

According to the Israel Defense Forces, Hezbollah militants launched two mortar shells at Israeli positions.

The shells hit open areas, so there were no casualties.

Hezbollah confirmed the attack, justifying it by claiming that Israeli aircraft had violated Lebanon's airspace.

Netanyahu's reaction

"Hezbollah’s firing at Mount Dov constitutes a serious violation of the ceasefire, and Israel will respond forcefully,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated.

He also emphasized that Israel plans to continue adhering to the ceasefire but will respond to any violations by Hezbollah.

Netanyahu added that a minor violation will be treated as a major one.

Truce between Israel and Hezbollah

The ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah began last week.

The United States, France and other countries participated in the development of the ceasefire agreement.

According to the document, Israel must withdraw its troops from Lebanon. At the same time, Hezbollah militants must leave the southern part of Lebanon.
