Nearly 300 Russian drones target Ukraine overnight: How many were intercepted

On the night of September 25, Russia launched 295 attack drones at Ukraine. Air defense forces intercepted most of them, but some strikes were recorded, the Ukrainian Air Force reported.
From 6:00 p.m. on September 24, the enemy used Shahed-type drones, including 52 jet-powered drones, as well as Gerbera, Banderol/Dan-T drones, and Parodiya decoy drones.
The launches were carried out from several directions: Oryol, Kursk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and Shatalovo. Some of the drones were launched from the temporarily occupied Donetsk region and the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, including from Hvardiiske.
Aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare systems, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces were involved in repelling the attack.
According to preliminary data as of 7:30 a.m., 267 enemy drones were destroyed or suppressed. Debris from downed drones was recorded falling at four other locations.
Several enemy drones remain in the air.
That same night, Russian forces struck Kyiv, with a drone hitting a 25-story residential building in the Solomianskyi district at the level of the fourth floor.
At least one person was injured, and traffic was temporarily restricted on several streets in the capital.
Serhii Beskrestnov (call sign Flash), presidential adviser on defense technology, said that despite Russian attacks on network infrastructure, the entire country would not be left without internet access. Thanks to distributed communication channels, only local disruptions are possible.
At the same time, he warned that the cost of internet services could rise due to the expense of repairing damaged infrastructure.
