Journalists from the Russian service of Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty have found the Pantsir-S1 air defense system located near the residence of Russian President Vladimir Putin at Valdai, according to the Telegram channel of Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty.

It is noted that the Pantsir-S1 air defense system is located in a forest on Ryabinovy Island, which is 3.7 kilometers away from the Valdai residence of the Russian President.

Specifically, the tower with the installed air defense system can be seen in updated satellite images from Google, taken on May 6 of this year.

From the history of images on the Planet.com service over the past months, it follows that this air defense position near Putin's Valdai residence was constructed in March 2024.

Earlier this year, it was reported that during an attack on an oil depot in St. Petersburg, a drone flew over the residence of Vladimir Putin at his palace in Valdai.

Following drone attacks in Moscow, Pantsir-S1 systems were installed on the rooftops of administrative buildings, including those of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

Additionally, another Pantsir system was discovered 2.5 kilometers away from the residence of former Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu.
