The incident happened on December 19 when officers responded to an early morning 911 call reporting a burglary at Singler's household. They found the lifeless bodies of a 9-year-old girl and a 7-year-old boy. Singler, along with her 11-year-old daughter, was taken to the hospital.
She was initially considered a victim. But subsequent investigations revealed that the reported burglary was baseless, leading to the issuance of an arrest warrant, police said. Singler faces charges outlined in an arrest warrant, including murder, attempted murder, child abuse, and assault. She was last seen on December 23.
Colorado Springs police added that U.K. authorities successfully took Singler into custody without any incident. Specifics regarding the location of the arrest and the potential extradition process were yet to be disclosed.
“Detectives with the Colorado Springs Police Department’s homicide unit continue to work closely with multiple law enforcement agencies in pursuing the ongoing investigation,” the police says.
Notably, court records indicate a years-long divorce case involving the suspect and her husband.
