Russia has spread disinformation regarding alleged new Ukrainian attacks on Russian oil refineries during the "energy ceasefire." Zelenskyy's office rejected these malicious manipulations, according to a statement by Russian Minister of Energy Alexander Novak.
Russia complains of "attacks"
Novak claimed that on September 14, Ukraine allegedly struck two oil refineries in the Saratov and Ryazan regions of Russia.
"We see that the Ukrainian side is not demonstrating any movement toward an energy ceasefire," he cynically stated.
However, prior to this, there were no reports of such attacks in either Ukrainian or Russian media.
Ukraine refutes
Advisor to the President of Ukraine on Communications Dmytro Lytvyn called this statement a fake.
He said that there had been none, adding that the Russians had spread a fake story about two supposedly attacked oil refineries. He stated that the data center had been successfully attacked and that a few other things had also been attacked, but the oil refineries had not.
Russia does not even hide the fact that it is not adhering to the "energy ceasefire" announced by US President Donald Trump.
Furthermore, on October 11, Trump announced an "energy ceasefire" between Ukraine and Russia.
Zelenskyy responded to this by stating that Kyiv had not agreed to anything, but is ready to support the initiative if Russia agrees.
