Foreign Ministry of Moldova condemns the incident near Colonița village outside Chișinău, where drone debris was found after a nighttime explosion, Newsmaker reports.
On September 19, the Moldovan Foreign Ministry strongly condemned an incident near Colonița village outside Chișinău, where drone debris was found after a nighttime explosion. The ministry called what happened a direct consequence of Russia's attack on Ukraine.
"This incident is yet another serious consequence of Russia's aggressive war against Ukraine, which continues to threaten the security of Moldova and our citizens. The effects of Russian attacks on Ukraine are not limited to the borders of the neighboring country," the Foreign Ministry said.
As previously reported, on the morning of September 19, several drones were again detected in the Ștefan Vodă district after entering Moldovan airspace.
According to the border guards, around midnight, a group of unidentified drones was spotted near the village of Căplani. Two of them crossed Moldovan territory toward the villages of Olănești–Cistovodnoe, while another flew over Căplani and then left the country.
