Today, June 23, a rocket attack was reported in Russia’s Belgorod region, a chalk plant may have been hit, reports the Russian Telegram channel, Astra.

According to Russian sources, the strike targeted the Alekseevka chalk plant, one of the largest industrial enterprises in the region.

The plant specializes in extracting and processing chalk for the construction, chemical, and other industries.

According to preliminary information, the plant sustained critical damage and was destroyed.

Eyewitnesses are sharing images of the attack's aftermath online.

“The plant building was practically destroyed during the strike,” reads a comment accompanying one of the photos.

This is not the first attack on the facility, as the plant was previously targeted by drones in June.

Ukraine has not officially confirmed the strike. Russian authorities have also not yet provided any comments.
