Not the first incident
On February 11, Moldovan border guards found fragments of a Shahed drone near the border with Ukraine. The drone strike occurred on the night of February 9-10 in Ukraine’s Izmail District, near Moldova.
The next day, it was reported that alongside the drone debris, 50 kg of explosives had been found in Moldova.
Additionally, during a massive attack on the night of February 27, a Russian drone crossed Moldova’s border. Ukraine’s Air Force reported that such incidents are not uncommon and should not be considered sensational.
