Cleansing oil has become a popular skin cleansing product, but is it capable of cleaning pores? Many people consider it effective due to its ability to dissolve dirt and makeup. But is that the case? Ukrainian dermatologist and cosmetologist Dariia Tishchenko reveals the truth.

What is known about cleansing oil

Cleansing oil for the skin is a product designed to remove makeup, dirt, excess oil, and other impurities from the surface of the skin.

This product is able to interact with water, turning into a milky emulsion when it comes into contact with water, which allows it to be easily rinsed off the skin without leaving a greasy film.

Since cleansing oils contain oils that penetrate the skin well, they are often used for gentle cleansing and hydration. The composition indicates that they are suitable for all skin types, including sensitive or dry skin, as they help maintain the natural moisture balance.

Does the product really clean pores

According to the cosmetologist, she is categorically against the use of oils on any skin, especially on combination or oily skin.

The reason is that it is oil, and on the contrary, it can clog pores; it does not cleanse sebum. To get rid of blackheads, it is necessary to use professional home care and do peels from time to time.

It is important to understand that even a one-time facial cleansing will not lead to the desired result. Because it is impossible to clean everything in one go.

First, it is necessary to regulate the work of the sebaceous glands and then maintain that result.

Don’t squeeze anything out, don’t use stickers or cleansing oils, because this is dangerous and can lead to undesirable results, added Tishchenko.
