A minibus with 9 Ukrainian citizens was involved in an accident on the Polish-Ukrainian border. As a result, one person was killed and the rest were injured, according to the statement of the Foreign Ministry spokesperson Oleh Nikolenko in a comment to RBC-Ukraine.

"The Consulate General of Ukraine in Lublin is providing consular assistance to Ukrainians involved in an accident on the Polish-Ukrainian border," Nikolenko says.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a minibus with 9 passengers - citizens of Ukraine - collided with a truck that was standing in line for border control.

As a result, one citizen was killed, and the rest received injuries of varying severity. They are currently receiving medical assistance.

"Ukrainian consuls are cooperating with Polish law enforcement officers to clarify all the circumstances of the accident and are taking measures to repatriate the body of the deceased. The issue of transporting the passengers to Ukraine by other means of transportation is also being resolved," Nikolenko adds.

Meanwhile, Polish rescuers report that the accident occurred this morning at 05:29 local time on Highway 17. They also published photos.

A bus carrying 53 Ukrainian citizens was involved in an accident in Slovakia the other day. Eight people were injured in the accident.
