Exchange of bodies between Russia and Ukraine
Ukraine and Russia regularly conduct exchanges of fallen soldiers' remains. These exchanges take place with the involvement of forensic medical experts from the International Committee of the Red Cross and remain one of the few diplomatic channels between the two countries.
According to the Commissioner for Missing Persons in Special Circumstances, Artur Dobroserdov, in the past four months, the Russian side has transferred twice as many bodies as it did throughout the entire period of the full-scale war.
