A drone washed ashore on a beach in the Bulgarian city of Burgas. The Bulgarian Navy transported it to their base, according to the Ministry of Defense of Bulgaria.

The military said that the unmanned aerial vehicle was reported via the 112 emergency number.

After inspection, it was found that the drone did not contain explosives and posed no danger.

With the permission of the Chief of Staff of the Navy, a specialized team transported the object to the Burgas Naval Base.

In July, during a storm, a naval mine was washed ashore in the Odesa region, and Ukrainian Navy personnel carried out a controlled detonation.

In August, as reported by RBC-Ukraine, Ukraine proposed that Bulgaria join an initiative to clear mines in the Black Sea to ensure safe navigation.

In January 2024, Bulgaria, Romania, and Türkiye joined forces to create a joint Black Sea mine-clearing group. This initiative aims to ensure maritime safety, particularly for the export of Ukrainian grain.
