Meghan Markle demands VIP treatment and personal chef ahead of UK trip

Meghan Markle may return to the United Kingdom for the first time in a long while, but only if several comfort and security requirements are met, conditions that are already being described as excessive. The potential visit concerns Prince Harry’s wife attending the 2027 Invictus Games, which are set to take place in Birmingham, according to RadarOnline.com.
Four floors of a Hyatt and strict rules for staff
An insider quoted by royal commentator Rob Shuter (Substack) said that Meghan allegedly wants complete isolation during her stay at the hotel.
“She wants four floors of the Hyatt completely shut down just for her,” the source told royal insider Rob Shuter, who writes on Substack.
According to the source, this is not only about privacy but effectively a lockdown-style service arrangement.
“Extra security outside. Staff aren’t allowed to look at her. She’s in total control,” the insider added.

RadarOnline.com also reports that Meghan Markle is said to insist on status and an official title in all communication, even though six years ago, she and Prince Harry stepped back from royal duties and moved to California.
“Anyone who has any interaction with her has to call her 'Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Sussex.' No exceptions,” the source said.
According to the source, the duchess’s requests go far beyond standard security measures. These reportedly include dedicated drivers, separate transportation, and police protection.
Among the alleged demands are “round-the-clock drivers, a fleet of luxury vehicles, and a police escort from the airport to the hotel.”
In addition, insiders claim the level of security requested is comparable to that usually provided to senior officials.

“This isn’t just protection. She's asking for a fortress. Bulletproof glass at the Games, armed security everywhere she goes,” the insider claimed.
It is also reported that Markle plans to appear at events exclusively in public mode with an overtly glamorous look, her own staff, and control over every detail.
Among the stated requests are a personal chef as well as a team of stylists and assistants.
The source also noted that Meghan allegedly wants four separate rooms solely for her PR staff. Nothing will be left to chance regarding VIP arrangements at her husband’s event.
Why the visit depends on Prince Harry’s security decisions
The article emphasizes that Meghan’s potential visit to the UK is directly linked to legal and administrative disputes surrounding Prince Harry’s security.
After Harry and Meghan stepped back from royal duties, the prince lost automatic taxpayer-funded protection, including the cancellation of the IPP-level security.
