Judging by eyewitness footage, according to Medusa, the fire has spread from the second floor of the building to the roof.

At the same time, Russian Interfax assures that there are no barracks allegedly damaged by the fire, naming the cause of the fire.

"A fire broke out in the Kazan Tank School due to faulty electrical wiring. The fire is localized, there are no casualties," the agency writes.

Fires in barracks of Russian Federation

This is not the first time that fires have occurred at Russian military facilities, including barracks.

For example, in December 2021, a fire broke out on the territory of a military unit in New Moscow (Russia). Two floors of the barracks were on fire.

Also in December 2022, a barracks housing mobilized Russians caught fire in the temporarily occupied Crimea. Later, Crimean partisans claimed responsibility for setting fire to these barracks with the mobilized soldiers.
