Massive attack on Kharkiv: Drone strikes hit multiple districts, injuries reported

The Russian army launched attack drones on Kharkiv during the day on Tuesday, April 22. Several strikes have already been recorded in the city, according to the city’s mayor, Ihor Terekhov.
At approximately 12:56 p.m. (Kyiv time), Terekhov announced that a Shahed drone had struck Kharkiv. He also warned that other drones were approaching the city and urged residents to stay in shelters.
By 1:04 p.m., Terekhov reported another strike in the Shevchenkivskyi district of the city. By 1:16 p.m., several more attacks on Kharkiv had been recorded.
As of 1:25 p.m., a total of six drone strikes had been confirmed in the city.
At 1:18 p.m., Terekhov reported one person injured.
“There is information about one injured person,” he wrote.
As of 1:25 p.m., six strikes had already been recorded in the city.

Terekhov reported several more explosions in the city.
According to the head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, one of the strikes was recorded in the Saltivskyi district of the city.

Terekhov reported that over the past hour, 12 drone strikes had been recorded in the city. Fires broke out at some of the impact sites. The attack is still ongoing.
He also stated that the number of injured had risen to three. Syniehubov reported that the number of people injured as a result of the enemy strikes on Kharkiv had increased to four.
“Medical personnel are providing all necessary assistance,” he wrote.

Terekhov said that four districts of Kharkiv were hit. Information on the consequences is being clarified.

According to Syniehubov, at around 1:40 p.m., an impact was recorded in the Kyivskyi district of the city — preliminarily, a Shahed-type drone hit the roadway.
"As a result of the strike, a car caught fire. According to preliminary information, three people were injured," he reported.

Ukraine under attack
Shortly before, Russian forces attacked the city of Zaporizhzhia with guided aerial bombs (GABs). More than ten people were injured, including two children — a 14-year-old boy in serious condition and a 4-year-old boy in moderate condition.
This morning, Russian forces launched several groups of attack drones across Ukrainian territory. Air defense systems were active in the Kyiv region in particular.
